What a clinical genetic test is, what a saliva sample can show, and what it cannot replace.
Genetic testing reads selected parts of your DNA to answer a clinical question. It is not the same as a lifestyle quiz or an ancestry kit. A useful test names the markers, the guideline behind the report, and the clinician who will use the result.
30M patient tests start with a saliva swab. That sample is enough for our pharmacogenomics work. We do not publish a full gene-by-gene catalogue on the website until medical has signed off a public list. What we do state clearly is the frame: FDA-approved markers, Indian-population context, and a Clinically Actionable report.

- Ask which guidelines the report follows.
- Ask who reads the result with you.
- Personal details stay delinked from the lab QR on the tube.
A test report is one input. Family history, other labs, and clinical judgement still matter. If you are comparing labs in Hyderabad or elsewhere in India, look for sample type, turnaround after receipt, and whether the notes are written for a doctor.
