Microbiome
The community of microbes in and on the body, and how 30M plans to sit it next to pharmacogenomics.
The microbiome is the community of bacteria, viruses, and other microbes that live with us — gut, skin, mouth, and more. They help digest food, train the immune system, and can change how some drugs are handled.
A microbiome report is not the same as a PGx report. One reads your human DNA for drug-gene notes. The other reads microbial DNA. 30M Genomics has microbiome insights in the pipeline, planned alongside pharmacogenomics, not as a replacement for the saliva PGx test we run today.
- PGx: your genes and medicines.
- Microbiome: microbial genes and the host.
- Status at 30M: launching soon — enquire for early access.
- Do not use a consumer gut kit to change a prescription.
If you want a medicine-focused test now, start with pharmacogenomics. If you want to follow the microbiome product, use the pipeline page and the collaborate form.
