Lifestyle genomics
How DNA is sometimes used for food, fitness, or habit notes, and how that differs from a 30M PGx report.
Lifestyle genomics markets DNA notes for diet, training, sleep, or skin. Some of that is early science. Some of it is branding. It should not be confused with pharmacogenomics, where gene–drug pairs sit on CPIC and FDA frames.
30M lists lifestyle genomics as a domain so people can enquire. It is not the product we lead with. If a result does not change a clinician’s next step, treat it as optional context, not as a medical plan.
- Ask whether a finding changes a prescription or a screen.
- Ask for the guideline, not only a traffic-light score.
- Do not drop a medicine because a lifestyle kit suggested it.
- For medicines, use the PGx path.
People often type “lifestyle genomics” after seeing wellness ads. If you want a report a doctor in India can file next to a prescription, start with saliva pharmacogenomics.
