Epigenetics

Marks on DNA that can change gene use without changing the DNA letters, and why we keep this in the pipeline.

Epigenetics is the set of chemical marks and packing states that can turn a gene up or down without rewriting the DNA sequence. Diet, age, and environment can leave traces. The letters stay the same. The volume knob can move.

This is not what our current saliva PGx report measures. Today we read approved genetic markers for drug response. Epigenetics sits in the longer plan: a virtual human twin layer that may one day combine epigenetics with pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics to refine treatment effect.
